What are my chances at ED?

Hi everyone, so I’m a bay area Asian teen going into Senior year and looking to major in premed, and these are my stats:

3.9 UW GPA, 2 Bs in Junior Precalc Honors
34 ACT don’t think I’ll retake
790 Math II
720 Bio M, looking to retake it in August
4 in AP Bio
taking 3 APs next year, one Honors course

Some ECs:
Volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House 2 hours every Saturday since October 2016
49 Hours as camp counselor at Abilities United Summer camp for special needs children
2 weeks, 8 hours a day at Stanford Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills Summer Internship
participant in the upcoming Youth Leadership Camp at Stanford for Asian Health (4 days)
Basketball, School (starting 10th grade), Club (starting 6th grade), and Asian League (10th grade)
Started my own blog where I interview Health professionals every few weeks

I’m trying to choose between Rice and Northwestern. I love both schools emphasis on cooperation with fellow students, but I think Northwestern is a bit more competitive when it comes to their student body. However, NW fills up 50% of their class with ED, so I don’t know if I want to commit to Rice if I have a better chance at NW. Also I don’t really like the snow since I’m in Cali, so I think the weather in Houston would be nicer. Both schools have amazing faculty to student ratio, and I feel you can connect really well with professors. NW is right next to Chicago, so I can work in Hospitals there or research, and there’s also the huge medical center right next to Rice. I think what’s tugging me towards Rice is the residential college system, which isn’t as prominent at NW, and the weather there. The medical center being so close is a plus, but I don’t mind commuting to find more opportunities at NW.

Anyways, thanks in advance to any responses, bumps are appreciated as well!

My daughter considered both schools but did not want to ED anywhere. She wanted to have choices and know what merit aid she would receive. She got in Rice RD and is attending. If you want to get into Northwestern, you pretty much have to ED. Rice historically has not placed such a high emphasis on ED as NW. However, Rice just hired a new VP of Enrollment from Penn. Penn has the heavy ED admit philosophy of ED. Will Rice change its ED practices this year?Who knows. The weather will be warm in Houston for most of the school year. It will be HOT at the beginning of the school year but will cool off by late September. it rarely gets below freezing in Houston and that is usually a day or two in January. The weather in Evanston/Chicago will be COLD. The Greek system is big at NW while Rice does not have the Greek system Rice has the residential college system instead. Rice focuses more on undergrad education than graduate students. It is smaller. The football team at NW is much better than Rice’s. Try to visit both schools during the school year if you haven’t already done so.
