What are my chances at Elon University? (Applying for Fall 2020)

I am currently a junior in high school applying to Elon this fall. I visited a month ago and it is currently one of my top choices. I know how much they appreciate demonstrated interest, so I reached out to my regional admissions rep.

As for my stats;

SAT-1360
UW GPA- 3.6
W GPA- 4.1

As for some of my EC’s, I am in NHS, honor choir, students against melanoma club, lemon club, and I have been a top varsity tennis player on my school’s team since freshman year and I am the captain for junior and senior year. It alos may be worth mentioning that our team is one of the best in Pennsylvania and we have gone to states every year I’ve been on the team, and I have earned some individual tennis awards as well.

Please let me know if you think I have a good shot at getting in, (applying EA), and if there is anything I can do to improve my application.

I attended one of the campus tour info sessions. It appears your stats are well above their average, so you should have a great shot? Are you looking at any other Southern schools? A lot of people who look at Elon also look at Furman, as we did. Good luck!

I have heard of Furman, but I haven’t looked into it very much, but I will do some research! I’m also interested in James Madison University and some schools down in Florida. Thank you so much for the reply!

Jot down notes while memory is fresh as to specifics about Elon you like. Demonstrated interest can count in such schools. A short note to your area AO might also be in oder. Numbers wise, you are good.

Hi! Your stats are similar to my son (although he’s an ACT guy, 29), and he got in with a scholarship, early action. He didn’t play a sport, which should give you a bump, but did have deep volunteer ECs. So you seem in great shape to me! I don’t know that there are any tips, EA would be my biggest tip! Great pick! (My son is attending and we think it’s a fabulous school). You sound like a good candidate for Fellows, too (you’ll learn about it when you visit, it’s’ like their Honors Dept), my tip would be to apply to Fellows too! (Due in Feb I think, so you have time to get your admission decision first).
