Matt-- Ahh it literally sounds perfect! And the lack of snow is fine because I’m from PA and I absolutely HATE it, haha. FSU, to me, just sounds like the all around perfect college. Great academics, social life, sports scene. I am so excited to visit to get a better feel for how it really is! :)

Orchid is right, but the way FSU explains it is confusing.

Easiest way to do it is to open up a spread sheet and list every class you’ve ever taken in high school with the exception of non-academic classes such as band, PE, art, driver’s ed, health, etc. If the class was yearly, list it twice since you should have two semester grades for the class (quarter grades don’t count). In the cell next to the class, put a 4 for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C and 1 for a D. In the cell next to that, put nothing if it’s a regular class or you got below a C, 0.5 if it’s honors and you get a C or above, and 1 if it’s AP and you got a C or above. Add all the numbers together with a formula, and divide by the number of classes.

The number will not be on your transcript because FSU uses its own formula.

I was accepted, thanks for asking! And I visited during the summer, and FSU had a lovely campus (though I’m probably going to go to UF). All of Florida is pretty nice year round. I mean, it’s the beginning of January and it’s only 57 degrees out where I am. :)
