What are my chances at getting accepted to NYU?

Hey everybody, another chance thread (your favorites right?). I am thinking about applying to NYU (starting senior year). Currently, I'm hoping to major in business (haven't choose something specific yet)

SAT: 2080 (2100 superscore)[ul]
[]Math 740 (760 highest)
[]Reading 650
[li]Writing 690[/li][/ul]
I plan on taking the SATs one more time in October, in hopes of hitting 2200. I believe NYU average SAT score is 2100ish but I don't know if that's for Stern. Would a 2200 help me get into Stern? (Read on for GPA and stuff)

SAT II: Math 2 (760) and Chem (770)
GPA: 90.59 (My school doesn't convert to the 4 point scale, and only give out weighted). Unfortunately, my GPA is decreasing as the years pass but I have taken progressively harder classes.
Class Rank: School does not provide them, but I would like to think I'm in the Top 25%
Ethnicity: Asian American

I've taken as many Honors as possible (English, Math, and sciences, my school doesn't have History Honors classes)

AP Tests
[ul][]AP Chem
[]AP Economics (Macro and Micro taught in one year)
[]AP Environmental Science (will take senior year)
[]AP Statistics (will take senior year)
[/ul]
If this matters, my school weights AP classes the same as Honors (5 point boost) when compiling the GPA. I've also taken tests for Chem, Macro and Micro, I'm not sure if the scores matter when applying (I know they matter for credits)

Extracurricular Activities:
[ul][]Volunteer at local Sunday School for 3 years now as an Assistant Teacher (Over 100 hours)
[]Volunteer at local hospital (around 100 hours)
[]Taking my final strides towards Eagle Scout (need to finish the project)
[]Senior Patrol leader for my troop.
[]Working on obtaining the Silver Medal in the Congressional Award
[]Took an "Introduction to Business" class at a community college nearby.
[]Robotics for 2 years
[]FBLA for 1 year
[]Interact for 2 years (will continue in senior year)
[]Writer for the school newspaper for 3 years (will continue in senior year)
[/ul]
Work Related
[ul][]Interned for one summer as an IT person in a Foreign Exchange company
[]Not sure if this counts as anything but currently maintaining a sports blog hoping to go viral with three other writers working for me.
[/ul]
Other Information
[ul][li]Not a NY resident[/li][]First of my siblings to go to college
[li]The school I go to is ranked Top 15 in my state continously[/li][/ul]

I would really love to get financial aid. Overall, I think I can get accepted to NYU (tell me if I'm wrong) but I want to know if I could get substantial financial aid. Also, if you could tell me if I could get into Stern that would be fabulous.

How much of a boost will the Congressional Award and Eagle Scout status get me?

Thanks everyone!

NYU rarely offers substantial financial aid so I wouldn’t get your hopes up. You are in range for CAS but low for Stern. Bumping up your SAT to 2200 will put your in the average batch for Stern but being Asian doesn’t help.

I have a friend with similar stats as you and was accepted into Stern.

Being an Asian male doesn’t help either but I agree with what commentcomment said. ECs are decent but yeah, financial aid is really not something you should depend on.

To NYUSternie, do you think I can get accepted to Stern, disregarding scholarship as of now.

You’re borderline so you can get in but you could also get rejected.
