Lehigh is my dream school but I am worried that I am not even close to what they are looking for in terms of gpa and sat. I have around an 1820 on my sat and a 93% gpa. I am pretty good extracurricular wise in both art and music. I don’t exactly have any leadership roles, but I have earned many award recognitions in both. My grades went horribly down in junior year mainly due to personal issues going on in my family at the time. I have been starting to get back on my feet senior year and mentioned why there is a deep downward slop in my average in the question on the common app that asks if there is anything else I would like to add to my application. I will also be applying for Lehighs choral and theater scholarships which I believe may help my chances, I am not sure. I also have good work experience and have participated in a lot of community service. I have already applied ED2. I’m just nervous that I have no chance

@16alevine Your chances are lower than the mean. Applicants with your SAT score have a 21.5% admit rate. If you had applied early decision 1 you may have boosted your chances to 35%-45%. At most since your applying ED 2 you have a 25%-30% chance of admission. Your ECs look decent but you haven’t taken any APs or other advanced courses so lacking a bit of rigor. I do hope you get admitted so good luck.
@16alevine Have you thought about Muhlenberg? It would seem a better match for you based on your interests.

I’m also ina lot of honors classes. Would you recommend I apply ED2 to Lafayette instead? I love it just a much and I feel I would have a better chance.
@TurnerT Yes I am applying there! I just did not like the campus as much as Lehigh.
