Weighted GPA: 3.9
Unweighted GPA: Around 3.7

I did not take the actual SAT but soon will be. My PSATs were a combined total of 1530, which I realize is very bad. I'm assuming I will improve a bit when I take the SATs so assuming that I improve that score a little, will I be able to get into the above schools?

Extracurriculars: Spanish Club, Red Cross, Special Olympics, Yearbook, Photography Club, Math League, Volunteer at assisted living home, National Society of High School Scholars.

Honors/ AP Courses in High School:
Honors Geometry
Honors Algebra 2
Honors Trig./Pre-Calc.
Honors Anatomy
Honors Spanish 4
AP Calculus AB
AP English Language
AP English Literature
CHS Statistics (In accordance with Pitt)

In addition, I am going to take the ACT and also take the SAT (obviously) at least two times. I will write a personal essay and get letters of rec.

Also, I heard that if you don't get into the college right away, they will sometimes request mid year grades or allow you to later reapply again the same year. Im especially wondering about this for Pitt because I might have some difficulty getting in. Does anyone know if Pitt often will request mid year senior grades if your an in between case?

So taking into account an approx. of my SATs, GPA, course rigor, and extracurriculars what are my chances of getting into the above schools? Thanks for your time! :)
