I’m currently a junior in high school and was wondering what my chances are at getting into the University of Toronto or McGill. My unweighted GPA is a 94.58, and my weighted GPA is a 96.2. I took the SAT (1600 scale) and got a 1410 (660 on English and 750 on Math). I’m not exactly sure what the requirements are for students from the United States. I’m planning on taking two SAT II’s in July. And I’m hoping to major in computer science.
Here are the minimum requirements for McGill for Americans:

They are fairly rigid. Meeting the minima does not guarantee admission.
UToronto is not as specific.
The minimum requirements with respect to standardized testing are quite reasonable overall, but may be more strict for management majors ( new SAT 700 & 710 = 1410).
@ijnewyork Get your application in early to U of T. They tend to run out of spots for later applicants.
I would recommend applying to Waterloo and UBC as well.
McGill seems like a match, they’re not crazy competitive.
To be honest, a lot of Canadian schools don’t put as much weight on extracurriculars and things like that. Most programs that are heavy in science fields (including computer science) depend mainly on your grades.
That being said, you’re grades seem fantastic, so I would say that your chances at Canadian schools are pretty high. I would even look into Waterloo, as they have awesome an comp sci program.
Do your research. Best of luck!
You may have already received an admissions decision from U of T, however, I am aware that in order to be considered for admission to the Faculty of Arts and Science at U of T’s St. George campus in Downtown Toronto, SAT II subject test scores require a mark of at least 600 or higher.
I hope this helps.
