What are my chances at getting into Umass Amherst?

Senior in high school. White male.

I've taken mostly honors classes and 3 APs.

My GPA stands at 3.02 weighted, and I'm in the top 50% of my class (barely).

As for extracurriculars, I don't particularly stand out. I did cross country for 4 years and have had a summer job for 2.

I have a decent essay I think.

I have positive (I think) letters of recommendation from my English and Math teachers from junior year.

My current highest SAT scores are CR - 620, M - 550, W - 670. However, I took the SAT once again a few days ago, and I suspect that my score increased a bit in every section, though I'm still waiting for the official results from collegeboard. I've heard many times that Umass doesn't care about your writing score. Does that mean my 670 - possibly higher - writing score does nothing to increase my chances, or is it just not as important as the other sections?

Also, does my declared major in any way affect my chances?

Thank you to anyone who answers. I'm really in the dark about my chances at this school, so any input is greatly appreciated.

Edit: (I'm in state if that makes a difference)

I also got a scholarship for free tuition which requires a score in the 75th percentile on the MCAS.
