junior year? senior year currently? ecs? is oos? fill in all ur stuff

not enough info, but it doesn’t really matter either way b/c all the schools listed are reaches for anyone no matter your qualifications.

Im going to run indoor and outdoor track senior year, and i meant to type junior class president. and c00lin, how is that not enough info? that is all my grades, my class rank, both gpas, what classes i took, my ap exam scores, my sports, my clubs, my volunteer hours, and even what languages i speak. I’m sorry that you feel that " it doesn’t really matter either way b/c all the schools listed are reaches for anyone no matter your qualifications", but i posted this so i can get feedback as to whether or not i will live out my lifelong dreams.

Race? Gender? State? Financial Situation? Hooks? All of these play major roles in whether or not you get accepted.

Oh, and you really can’t chance anyone for those schools, you can only give them an idea. HYPSM are all crapshoots for everyone, so take whatever advice you get on this site with a grain of salt because there’s a very good chance someone who says you will get in might be wrong, and vice versa.

i am a middle eastern male born in the usa, from palestine, and i am fluent in arabic, english, and spanish. my parents are very financially well off and no one from my family has ever attended Duke

laundry list.

after all of the replies, not one of them answers my question. please dont reply if ure going to post rude comments or discourage me. thank you

I dont believe you can be president of 7 clubs and still contribute meaningfully to any one of them.

Seriously, I think for every potential applicant, the chances thread for top schools are quite simply, ridiculous. First, there are so many variables to take into account. Second, chances threads are not accurate. In fact, most of the advices given are generic, which you prolly know it urself, so there’s not point of chancing, because most of the time, ur going to get rude comments if not inaccurate from ccers (after all, we’re not admission officers). I don’t know if this sounds cliche’d, but quite simply, you just have to apply and hope for the best.

Reaches across the board. You have great stats but not enough outside of school to get you admitted. Good luck!

You have nice test scores, AP exams are weak imo, and I can’t figure out what your interests are exactly. You’re quite brilliant, but what are your passions/interests? I don’t see a general trend amongst your ECs. You have a bunch of leadership, but your essays need to convey how your ECs correlate with your intended major (or that’s what I’ve been told is a nice thing to have on your app). Where do you live in the USA? That does impact your chance somewhat too. You’ll need some awesome essays, but you still have a shot. Good luck :)

Harvard-reach
Yale-reach
Duke-low reach
Princeton-reach

Reaches across the board (I agree with the guy above me). I’d say 50% Duke, 15% Harvard, 15% Yale, 15% Princeton. But really, I think it depends largely on your essays. Also, being involved in a ton of clubs is going to just be a turn-off; they like seeing dedication toward 1-3 most important things. Trust me, I know, my HS class sent 14 to Harvard so you can guess how crazily competitive my HS was.
