You look awesome, SR! You have really been working hard.
Just a suggestion.
If it's not too difficult try taking the SAT I as well,
since many students applying will submit their SAT scores.
I know it's ACT in Central USA, but students applying to Harvard
from any school are few also. ^^ BTW, which country are you from?
Blessings and have a great Christmas season!

ok ACT, ok extracurriculars

does top 10% mean that 22 people have higher GPA, or what? cause if that's the case, there's no way you'll get in

sillyrabbit,

sending the ACT is just fine. i did it last year and got in. so, don't stress about it. secondly, ignore innocentstalker's comment. top 10% is a staple among most harvard applicants, so you do have a chance. i would never say that there is "no way you'll get in." and i go to harvard, albeit, i'm not an admissions officer.

good luck,
hotpiece

^^you think a rank of 23/220 is in for an unhooked applicant? in the past admit threads, i have yet to find such an acceptance

innocentstalker,

i don't think any rank is a definite in. but a rank of 23/220 is not a definite out. if harvard wanted, they could fill class upon class with valedictorians and salutatorians, but that's not what they want. so sillyrabbit has a chance.

hotpiece

Well, she actually doesn't have a chance hotpiece since she hasn't taken any SAT II's and Harvard requires three of them.:D

Hey sillyrabbit,

I think you've got a solid chance (although your APs or a little low). That doesn't mean you're a match, just that it's definitely worth applying. You say you "took" math competitions. . . did you actually do well? Or just participate?

Try to figure out how to sell yourself. . . what's your hook? What makes you different?

I like it that you have significant athletic/student leadership and also good academic stats.

Any chance of your getting recruited? How strong is your swimming? If you're a recruitable athlete, I think you're in.
