Hi! i am a junior at a New Jersey public high school. i just got my first SAT scores back on thursday and i was curious as to my chances at Ivy League Schools (also Brown's PLME program) and Ivy League Caliber schools. I am kind of new to this whole posting thing so i wud appreciate any input.

SAT I
math- 800
critical reading- 690 (i am retaking test in march so this will definitely go up but not by THAT much)
writing-800

Academics
GPA unweighted- 4.0 out of 4.0
GPA weighted-4.684 (but our weighting system is really stupid i can explain if you want)
Rank- 1/491

Extra Curriculurs
Octagon Club Special Needs Coordinator
Physics League
Student Council- (only homeroom rep)
Marlboro Fist Aid Squad (3+ hours per week)- and will be EMT by the time i apply to school
National Honors Society
Hebrew School Tutor- i tutor students who have disabilities or just kids who arent bright on how to read hebrew (4 hours a week)

Awards
Model United Nations most outstanding delegate award
a memorial award for attitude and high character on fields and courts
represented my high school as a (Hugh Obrien Youth Leadership)HOBY ambassador

i will be taking math (I or II), physics, and US history and i am probably doing Harvard Summer School this summer- if you want any other info. i can give it to u

Well, academically, you're there, but Ivies want more than a student with really good stats, because that's what all their applicants look like.
Show Harvard something that not all the other 29,000 applicants have that you can bring to the table, and you're in, without a doubt.

your ec's aren't too bad, but nothing stellar. if you are able to show a clear passion for Model U.N., though, I think you'll be good, and if you can get something like a leadership role. also, you might want to get involved in sports/music, although it's kinda too late if you're a junior.
best of luck!

You have a fighting chance, especially if you raise CR. But skip Harvard summer school and get a basic job at Mcdonalds or similar. Oterwise you look like all the other affluent, Jewish kids from NJ, and there are way more of them with your stats than spots for them at ivies.
