I'm a rising senior, from a new england prep school. 3.2 GPA, mostly adv./honors courses (no APs), 2070 on SAT II's (610 Reading, 720 Math, 740 Writing). I'll be spending my senior year abroad (http://sya.org) and I'm really, really, outdoorsy. Some people would describe me as a "crunchie" or maybe even "tree-hugger" (i don't actually hug trees, sadly).

What chances have I got at Midd and/or Colorado College, with my not-too-outstanding GPA.

No athletics (unless Rock/Ice climbing counts).

Too much community service to list here.

I want to major in Foreign Language (or something similar), i'll be fluent in Italian, pretty well off with Spanish, and i've taken Latin for 4 years and greek for one. I'm also really good at computer science - Straight 4.3s in it.

Thanks.

If you are white, then it's ultra-competitive for you at Middlebury and it doesn't seem like you'd be able to get in. Midd only takes (1) Act; or (2) three subject tests so you're sAT's won't matter, but from what I see, it's inconsistent- 740 writing and 610 reading? Huge discrepancy, hope you fare better (and more consistently!) on the ACT. GPA's a real killer. =/ I think you should be fine at Colorado College. Best of luck,

TTG

I got a 29 on the ACT's (29/28 on every section with a 31 on science)... and i've taken the SAT II's in Math (level 1), Latin, and U.S. History.... haven't gotten my scores yet though.

I think Middlebury accepts the NEW SAT's, with the writing sections...

Hey,

I got a 2040 in SAT ( cr 670, maths 710, writing 660) and I have a 4.0 GPA. I scored straight A’s in my GCE A Levels exam and I am ranked 1st out of 100 students in high school.

I just applied Early Decision to Colorado College. Could you all please tell me what you think about my chances for admission?

I think you’ll have no problem at Colorado C and Midd is a big reach.
