What are my chances at Northeastern University?

I recently applied EA but i saw the 2014 acceptance rate was 5.6, when 2013 was at 30%. its kinda making me panic.
anyway here are my stats

GPA as of Junior year = 3.8 or 93/100.
sent SAT = 1880(pretty pathetic ik) 680 math/620 R/ 580 W. (9 Essay).
AP Junior year = AP Compsci, AP Chem. Aced both
AP Senior year =AP Physics, AP Calc AB, AP Stats
i dont have my trimester grade for senior year yet i assume its near 97-98/100
no class rank because i go to small independent school. I wont say name because i dont want to be tracked but its in the top 10 of my state, not sure if that helps or not.

Leadership:
President of Digital Photography Club
House Manager of School plays and musicals

Other Clubs:
investment club: 4 years
Spanish club: 3 years
Physics and Engineering club: 2 years

Honorable mention on science fair,10th grade

Volunteered at senior citizen center for 30 hours and library for like 4 hours

i wouldn’t take too much insight into that recent statistic. Is that your UW GPA? I think it’s a low-reach for you, your SAT isn’t going to help you very much. I could see you being deferred until reg decision. Chance me back at
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1707789-already-applied-but-what-do-you-think-my-chances-are.html#latest

why wouldnt you give too much insight on the recent statistic? just curious

because decisions haven’t even been released yet, and won’t be for a month. where did you see this statistic. a 5.6% selectivity would make it the most selective university in the US

google it now. I was so shocked when i saw it like that. they had 48000 applicants last year and accepted 2800. im hoping something is wrong here

Whoever calculated that 5.6% acceptance rate had no clue about college admissions. They enrolled 2800 freshmen out of 49,000 applications. They assumed that NU has a 100% yield rate. No school does.

The acceptance rate was 32% this past year.

can you tell me where you got 32 from?

@toonlink You don’t think they had room for 14,700 freshmen that year, right?
