Thats all I can think of off the top of my head, Northeastern is my first choice so any thoughts on what you think or what I should focus on will be greatly appreciated!!

Your extracurricular and service parts are fine, but you MUST get your SAT scores up by a large number. Your GPA is about average, depending on the courses. I don’t think you will make it with those numbers, but fortunately you have time to improve them.

Agreed… and make sure your community service coincides with what your major is. That’s really helpful. I worked at a pharmacy and I think that helped a lot for my acceptance at NEU.

Then again, you never know. One of my friends got into UC Berkeley but got rejected from NEU, and she was in top 20% of school with lower grades than mine and less extracurriculars (I’m in the top 9%).

That shows that admissions people are human, and the UCB folks saw something that NEU folks didn’t. That’s why it is always worth trying for your reach college, because you never know for sure. I know someone who got into his reach college and he was always behind in school. Lots of people wondered if he would get into a mediocre college, let alone a top one. And his parents are not rich and do not have special connections.
