2.9 GPA, 1810 SAT, only one AP class (some "advanced" too), straight a's senior year, job, some volunteer. not the most challenging course load.

-WVU
-ODU
-VCU
-Penn State
-University of Kentucky
-Auburn
-FLORIDA ATLANTIC

104etc, as an international student, do you really feel qualified to chance anyone at these schools? Or do you just say yes or no randomly, like it’s a game. I’d be willing to wager that you never heard of these schools.

What are the chance of getting in to film school, how many apply? And if you do get called for an interview how long before you find out if you’re in?

you will get into ODU trust me, i have the EXACT same stats as you and i live in virginia…im applying to those SAME schools next year…thanks for starting this thread

youre applying to all of those? i think you mean just vcu and odu. they are not the only ones i applied to in va. yeah i figured odu wouldnt necessarily reject me. i’d sure hope not…

Well I think you are in at WVU. According to naviance:
-there is an 87.66% acceptance rate
-75th percentile SAT is 1710
-Avg GPA is 3.3

WVU is located in a beautiful setting (Appalachian Mtns) from what I hear. But I mean, it’s West Virginia. I know it’s wrong to stereotype, but there are some racists and hillbillies with their moonshine there. The state as a whole has problems with poverty and education. A good amount in fact. But then again, it’s a college town located in northern WV (which is more like the North than the South), it’s somewhat of a party school, and the college desperately wants more diversity.

My physics teacher recommended it for me and my mother wanted me to go to some place close to home. And their petE program isn’t bad. I still didn’t apply though, because the priority scholarship deadline passed and I didn’t want pay another $10 to send in my SATs.

I think Penn State might be a high reach for you. But I don’t know too much about it; I just know that admissions will be more competitive than WVU. Still, apply. I haven’t heard of any of the other colleges you listed (except for Auburn).

Good luck with your admissions; I hope you get into one that you like.

Penn State probably not…the other ones I’m not so sure. Definitely try to improve GPA. Your not hopeless though because you did good on. Your Sats
