What are my chances at these schools?

Thanks! @lonelyowl I am working on getting a 2100+ on SAT! Good luck to you! By the way, would Boston U be a high reach… My act score seems to surpass their 75th

i think both BU and UTAustin are very doable for you, maybe match/safety. if you do well on the SAT then for sure they are matches!

Thanks @shadyconcepts

UNC - match
Berkeley - low reach
UCLA - low reach
Tufts - high reach
NYU - low reach
Northeastern - low reach
BC - match
Georgetown - high reach
Emory - match
U of Southern California - high reach
UVA - match
BU- match
UT- match

EC are impressive, if your test scores were higher your chances would be better but I still think you have a good shot at all these schools!

I think Berkeley, LA, and UNC out of state should be more competitive than schools like USC and Tufts.
NYU probably you should not apply there as it is extremely expensive (74k~ a year).

Bumppp

UNC - match
Berkeley - reach
UCLA - low reach
Tufts - reach
NYU - low reach
Northeastern - low reach
BC - match
Georgetown - high reach
Emory - low reach
U of Southern California - low reach
UVA - match
BU- match
UT- match

Can someone please chance me???

UNC-it’s going to be hard if you’re OOS.
Berkeley-very hard OOS
UCLA-very hard OOS
Tufts-apply ED and you have a chance
NYU-you def. have a chance for NYU.
Northeastern-I think you’ll get in.
BC-reach
Georgetown-reach
Emory-reach, maybe apply ED?
U of Southern California-reach
UVA-reach if OOS

I suggest that you apply to some safety schools

Thanks! These opinions help!

Wow! You have some very impressive extra-curriculars! That’s a solid ACT score and your weighted GPA is great too (although is it somehow inflated? Weighted 4.78 but ranked 34th seems odd), but UC GPA is a bit low for Berkeley/LA. Also, because you don’t have California resident status, that could hurt your chances of admission to either school. I would go more for the private schools as they’ll be able to offer you some pretty good financial aid (also dependent on income bracket) but I think you should really try to capitalize on those EC’s. I’d say all of those schools have a bit of a reach aspect except for UNC, UVA, and NYU. You should feel confident about those three at least. Stellar job keeping up with all of your commitments in high school, all the hard work will be worth it! Good luck (:

I think you are a match for BC, BU, and Northeastern.

Tufts, Georgetown, and Berkeley- are probably reaches. (Tufts a low reach)

I don’t really know much about the others except for that UVA is harder than it seems for OOS students.

I don’t know if you are interested in LACs, but with a good GPA and slightly lower test scores- a lot of the NESCAC schools seem to be a good match for you.

Oops just saw those schools you added to your list. Brandeis-match, GTech-low reach to match, UT Austin-match, BU-low reach, Northeastern-low reach to match

Thanks @poliscinerd12316

Thanks! @JPhilly99 Is my gpa not enough for those schools? I am working on getting it to a 4.9. Do I stand a chance at one of the reach schools? Good luck!

UNC, UVA, Northeastern, NYU- Match
BC, USC, UCLA- Low reach
Georgetown, Emory, Tufts, Berkley- Reach

Your ECs are amazing! Good luck with everything!

I think that you have very good EC’s, and I do not think that your ACT score will hurt you. Are you taking it again?

I’d say BC, BU, Georgia Tech, and UT Austin are matches

Brandeis, UVA, and Northeastern are low reaches

Tufts, Berkeley, USouthernCal, Emory and Georgetown are probably mid reaches

@TheWaffleMan149 thanks! I do plan on retaking it so I can get a 33+!

That will definitely help! With 33, I’d the low reaches are matches, and the mid reaches would probably all become low reaches except G-Town and UCB (although I think you will get in to both)

I think you’ll most likely get denied from UT-Austin’s business school but economics is doable

UNC- high match/ low reach (instate vs OOS)
Berkeley- low reach
UVA- match
NYU- match
Brandeis- match
BC- match
BU- match
Northeastern- match
Georgia Tech- match
UT Austin- match? Haven’t heard much sorry
Tufts- low reach
USC- match? Haven’t heard much sorry
Emory- match
Georgetown- reach
