What are my chances at top schools?

ACT/SAT (about equivalent): 35
GPA: 4.0 non-weighted; I would be valedictorian if we had one at my school
School: public
AP Scores: 7 total (6 fives, 1 four)
White
Female
Essay: Probably will be good, but I'm freaking out about it right now
Recommendations: excellent

EC:
Volunteering (President of Key Club, over 400 hours total)
Music (Bassoon, All State Orchestra)
Summer Internship (very prestigious)
Model United Nations
Basketball (Not varsity)

Schools (just the top ones on my list):
Brown
Stanford
Yale
Northwestern
Wash U in St. Louis
Harvard
Duke

Please be honest (you don't need to be nice)

i see u have a very good ACT score, and your academic stuff is very good, so that’s good

overall, decent EC, so ur good there

just wondering do u have any awards for academic stuff? cuz that plays a factor too

Brown - good reach
Stanford - good reach
Yale - good reach
Northwestern - should get in
Wash - should get in
Harvard - a bit out of reach
Duke - should get in

gluck :)

I know many kids who’ve gotten into Brown with good tests and boring/none-at-all ECs, so you have a very good shot there.

You have a great profile, but harvard, Yale, and Stanford are all full of applicant pools with equal talent and gift. The others are tough also, but you should be safe at most. Best of luck to you.

Brown - low reach
Stanford - reach
Yale - reach
Northwestern - match
Wash U in St. Louis - match
Harvard - high reach
Duke - high match

All in all I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into Northwestern/WashU, you have a good chance at Duke, I could see you getting into Brown if an essay or reccomendation really stands out, and I doubt Harvard/Yale/Stanford are going to happen. (You have very similar stats to myself so if it sounds like I’m being harsh I have the same opinion of my own chances.)

To paragonD6: Yes, I entirely forgot about those. I’ve won school awards in social studies, math, spanish, and physics, and I won a national writing competition. In MUN I’ve won 7 awards. (I know this sounds like bragging…sorry).

I’m actually pleasantly surprised you all think I could get into Wash U and Northwestern. Thanks for the opinions!
