What are my chances at top schools?

I'm really confused about what I want to major in so the college search has recently become much more difficult. My confusion has led me to start considering larger schools so that I have an option to switch majors more easily (as opposed to going to a more specialty school like CSM). I want to go to the best school possible but much of it is going to depend on what/how much scholarships/financial aid I am able to get but I need to know if I have a shot at getting in before I waste time applying. I am not sure how to go about posting all of this info so I'll just throw down anything I think might be important.

So what are my chances at the top schools (Ivy League and the like) in the country?

Thanks,
William

You need 3 SAT II Subject tests for Harvard and at least two for other top schools. Once you have those, it will be easier to make a prediction for you. Right now your 30 ACT translates into a 1340 SAT, which is below the 25-75th percentile for Harvard students (1400-1590). Good luck in your continued research, and your next ACT.

How’s the rest look?

Could you please break down exactly what SAT tests I need to take? My school doesn’t even offer these tests and I have to go half way across the state to take them.

Depending on the school, SAT II tests aren’t actually necessary if you take the ACT. Check with someone in admissions or their website, but most people do submit them regardless. And some schools require them (I don’t think Brown does, but pretty much everyone submits them).

So as far as ACT scores, what do I need to get on the next one? The only reason my science isn’t a >34 is because of poor time managment skills that I will sort out next time. I didn’t even have to try to make time on any other sections so I wasn’t worried about it and ended up not getting the last five questions answered. It won’t happen next time.

improve ur SAT/ACT score, then u will be a decent candidate
chance me back. thx
