Hey I'm a student in California and I recently visited University of Oregon, and I've decided that it's my number one choice for college.

My stats are:

3.98 Unweighted GPA, 4.34 Weighted

33 ACT

2210 SAT (780 Math, 650 writing, 780 reading)

I've taken 7 AP classes and 12 honors.

I would say my ECs are fairly good, but could be better.
I did a good job on my essay, and I think my recs are pretty good.

Do you think my chances are good, I really want to go here?

MasterBetty,
I'm not too familiar with UO, but I think you could have a shot. The deadlines not for a bit, so you should edit your application a bit. You should consider a stand-by act test for december, to see if you can boost that ACT. If you can, try to get your teachers to re-write your recs several times, so they make sure they're top notch. You may want to get 4 or 5 of them, and try to sneak a peak and choose the best 2-4 of them. You should consider applying to some IVY league schools, I recommend yale and princeton, as well. Unless you really want to go to UO. Try to schedule an interview, and make sure to be kind, and bring the interviewer a gift. Also, you could try and get the class you have a B in dropped, by bringing in your parents and complaining. Other than that, good luck, and maybe put some cash in with your application.

Are you seriously wondering if you will get in or not? You are a lock Oregon isn't that competitive at all. You should aim higher with your stats.
