What are my chances at UC Berkeley and UCLA?

Hi! These are my top two choices and I wanted some opinion on what your thoughts on my chances of getting into one or both of these two awesome schools. Right now I am slightly favoring Berkeley as my first choice but it changes practically every day so I am curious about both.

UC Weighted GPA: 4.04
UC Unweighted GPA: 3.74

High School Course Load: I have taken a fairly rigorous course load during my years in high school. As a senior I am taking 3 AP and 1 Honors class. My GPA also has an upward trend starting from freshman year onward.

SAT: 2170 (Math-670 Critical Reading-700 Writing-800)
Subject Tests: US History-710 Chemistry-690 Literature-670

Extracurriculars:
Relay for Life-team captain for 5 years, committee member for 1 year, awarded "Most Money Raised" 1 year
Volleyball-4 years of club and high school teams, captain twice, awarded MVP and All-League for Varsity
Immersion Trip to South Dakota
Peace and Justice Club-member for 2 years, currently vice president
Model United Nations-member for 2 years
Senior Retreat Team-member of organizing committee for my high school's retreats

Lastly I go to a rigorous parochial high school and am in around the top 10% of my class.

Please give me your thoughts on my chances at these two schools! Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this! :D

Both are high matches. Good luck

i would say low reach.

their average GPA is 4.3

I agree with Firebrat – both are in between match and reach. GPA is the weak point. UCs care relatively more about GPA than SATs. UC Berkeley and UCLA are matches for a typical public’s top 1% -2% in class rank (usually between 4.2 and 4.4 UC GPA). Since you attend a private school, it is possible your GPA would be considered in a holistic admissions review as being very strong… hard to tell.

low reach because of UC GPA.
How was your personal statement?

Thanks for the opinions! And yeah I would agree with all of you my GPA seems to me to be the the one big thing killing my chances. :frowning:
I felt that my personal statements were very strong I considered them to be the strongest part of my applications.
