What are my chances at UC Berkeley and UCLA?

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what my chances at Cal and LA. I applied electrical/computer engineering at Cal and computer eng. at LA. Thanks

4.3 weighted, prob around 3.8 unweighted, I think.

Not good. If you were applying under Sociology, you'd have a chance at either school. But EECS and computer engineering...don't get your hopes up.

both cal & la r competitive in admissions

a lot of my friends had 1400+ & 4.0 uw gpa and still got rejected

differs for each individual

need superb essays & personal circumstances
in addition to what you already have

hope that helps

o yeah ...

ENGINEERING is way too competitive ...

u would have had a lot higher chance if you chose scandinavian studies

Don't be disheartened! I have seen people with lower stats than you get into that major.

"Declared major within the College of Letters and Science is not considered in the admission decisions."

Hmmmmm......

Engineering is not found in the College of Letters and Science.

You should have recieved your decision (online) to UCLA already. If not, login to their site to find out your decision! Best of luck.

my friend was just rejected from UCLA last night. i'm not sure what major he applied for but it was either physics/engineering/undecided. his ECs were about the same yours, probably a bit better, 3.6 uw but with harder courseload than you I think, 1440 SAT, 800 Math2, 760 writing, 700 physics....and out of state. sooo i dunno, i guess UCLA is tough to get into. I imagine Berkeley is only tougher. Granted, I'm sure what got him rejected was his GPA, but whatever, and also his essays. his essays were craaaappppy b/c he did them last minute :</p>
