what are my chances at UC Berkeley, LA, Davis

GPA
Weighted: 4.64
UW: I don't know how to calculate that, but I'm guessing 3.8+ ???

Rank: 3/400

SAT I: 1900 (i know. I am DEFINITELY retaking it, so just ignore it for now b/c i am almost sure it will go up)

SAT II: Physics 780, US His 760, Chem 730

AP: Chem: 4. His prob 4. Phys prob 5.

EC: I am afraid that I do not look "committed" or dedicated enough to one activity. I have dabbed here in and there in mostly leadership and volunteer organizations in the past 4 years, but they are not as important/big as the "building houses for children in Africa" organizations. Also I have NO SPORTS, ART, OR MUSIC TALENT WHATSOEVER!!!!.
My grades have always been impeccable, and I am almost sure I can raise my SAT grades into the 2100's or higher. But are my EC's horribly bland???

Leadership/Volunteer:
-Tomorrow Leader's Today. There were about 50ish people accepted out of a 100+ applicant pool. This is a program where we toured industries and learned about coorporations. It's not a groundbreaking program where I changed the world but it is quite prestigious in my community.
-Work Experience/Volunteer as camp counselor in training every summer. I have a cumulative of approx. 400 hours. I know hours aren't what's important, but just to give you an idea.
-Leadership/Intern training last spring & summer- I helped plan community holiday activities for youth- like MLK day and Chesar Chavez day.

Sports: The only significant one is soccer
-Rec soccer for 3 years (I am not depending on it for anything big b/c i suck at the sport. It was just a great way to get off my butt)
-Jujitsu for 2 years. I made it to yellow belt --yea! (I probably won't include this in my application b/c it's so insignificant)
-JV Track for 2 years. I got minor awards, like for keeping up my grades while doing track but basically I was the slowest at every race

Awards: Summa Cum Laude for all years of HS until now.
California Scholarship Member for all HS years.
Will become a Peer Tutor/Mentor at my HS and a Middle School starting Senior Year.
A misc. Essay award.
Key club Member for Freshman Year

That's all..... wow that resume looks hopelessly short.

Any suggestions for other reasonable Ivys or reach schools? I have my match and safties planned out... but I just want to know how far I should "reach."

tofulover:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCD: Safe Match

I'd say your chances are good. You have the credentials they look for, the only problem is the number of people who apply to these colleges. As for now, your SAT score is decent and your SAT IIs help. According to The Princeton Review: The 361 Best Colleges (which is really useful for finding out the school's profile) your SAT score falls into the ranges of the schools you want to go to. So if you retake the SAT and get 2100+ I'd say that it seals the deal. Depending on what major you want, maybe you could talk to some professors at nearby universities to see if they're doing any research you could help with. That's what I did, and research always looks good to colleges.

p.s. I agree with Flopsy above.
