What are my chances at UC Berkeley?

Cal is my top choice, so tell me what you think about by chances. Be honest, not rude. Here are my stats:

- AP Scholar
- Delegate to California Boys' State

My unweighted GPA may cause a problem, but I'm hoping it might work out because of all my other stuff, and plus I've taken almost all of the toughest classes in the major disciplines. Anyway, let me know. Thanks!

Your GPA is rather low for Cal, but with good essays I would say you have a fairly decent chance.

If your GPA was a little bit higher I would say your chances would be good but you really need a GPA of greater than 4.0 to be considered a strong candidate for UC Berkeley.

Are you a URM? Do you know your class rank? Agree, your GPA is a tad low but the SAT scores are actually higher than the typical admit.

My daughter’s HS typically would get 20-25 admits to Cal with another 10-15 getting into other ‘good’ colleges out of a class of 450 or so. Rarely did someone who was not in the top 10% of class rank get admitted to Cal.
