What are my chances at UConn

I'm applied to both UMass-Amherst and UConn, and was wondering what you people thought my chances would be at getting into UConn. My stats are..

~White/Male

~Out-of-State(I live in New York)

~GPA: 3.0(will be going up after this semester)

~SAT I(new sat): 1470==Math- 500, Critical Reading(old verbal)- 510, Writing- 460. So basically i have a 1010 on the old SAT's.

~I have done a few various community service projects(working at the local library, food kitchen).

You can't get accepted if you don't apply. BUT I will say that UConn has become more competitive even for instate students.

UConn is a definite reach. You need to find some schools to apply to where your SATs are going to be in the midrange and to the top of their midrange.

try to retake the SAT and get over 1100, then you will have more of a chance

Your chances at UConn aren't great, but it's still definitely worth applying. It's not a super reach or anything, so the least you can do is give it a shot.

agreed ^ try harder on the SATs.

could give you a better chanc
