UCLA: reach
UCSD: reach
USC: reach
UCSB/UCD/UCI: slight reach
UCR: match
Northwestern: reach
NYU: slight reach

kyledavid80 got it right

yes, kyledavid80's got it right. Also UCSC is a match for you, and UCM is a safety.

im am Top 5% of school.
anyone else have any ideas?

^Top 4% is what counts for ELC and, based on last year's admissions, would lead one to believe that second tier UCs are matches, and UCSD (based on the fact that 90% of ELC gets admission) is a slight reach/high match. If you aren't ELC however, then what kyledavid said stands.

Get that SAT up to 2000, and you'll see your chances at second tier UCs (assuming you're not ELC) rise dramatically. 3.67 is low, but there have been more than one person admitted with lower, even though the average for those schools hovers at 3.8.

Yeh I do not know if I am in ELC or not. No one knows yet from my school, and I am really hoping to get it. Its gonna be really close if I make it or not. ELC will make it or break it for me. If I get ELC, I will be jumping for joy and assured, but if I dont, then I will be crestfallen, and hit my self in the head over and over for not working harder. lol.

If you are ELC, then you can be guaranteed, probably, for all UCs except Berkeley and UCLA; the admit rates for ELC students at UCSD and below are ~90%+.

when do you usually get notified whether you are not ELC? thanks for all your help people, this period is really stressful, especailly with all the family pressure to go to UCSD. (family reasons, brother alumni, close proximity, etcc..)

does anyone know when you get notified for ELC??
and anymore opinions??
