What are my chances at UCs?

Hi,
I’m currently a high school senior and have already finished applying to colleges, could someone please chance me? I applied to all UCs, except Riverside and Merced, CalPoly Slo and Pomona, SDSU, anc CSU Long Beach. I applied for a civil engineering major for all schools, or a cognitive science/psychology for those that did not offer civil engineering. I took Physics Honors my junior year, and am currently taking AP Government/Economics, but didn’t report any AP tests or subject tests. I know that with a lack of these tests and extracurriculars, it would significantly lower my chances for a more competitive school, like UCLA, especially for an engineering major.

My Stats:
-ACT: 30
-Weighted GPA: 4.00

ECs:
-Varsity sideline and competition cheer teams for 3 years, became captain of both teams, along with jv (title of overall captain) senior year, and have received multiple awards for cheer
-National Honor Society for 3 years

LMK if you need more info! Thanks

What is your ACT breakdown, Math especially? Did you take any SAT subject tests since these are recommended for Engineering
majors?

You look good for CSULB, Cal Poly Pomona and SDSU. SLO will be a slight Reach.

For the UC’s, UCSC looks likely and possibly UCD, UCI and UCSB. UCSD, UCB and UCLA will be Moderate to High Reach schools. A lack of HS rigor could hurt unless your school does not offer many AP’s.

The admit rates below (most current) are not major specific so expect for Engineering to require above average stats and lower admit rates.

2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 10%
UCLA: 9%
UCSD: 34%
UCSB: 38%
UCD: 41%
UCI: 38%
UCSC: 70%
UCR: 84%
UCM: 95%

2019 UC capped weighted GPA averages along with 25th-75th percentile range:
UCB: 4.23 (4.15-4.30)
UCLA: 4.25 (4.18-4.32)
UCSD: 4.16 (4.03-4.28)
UCSB: 4.16 (4.04-4.28)
UCI: 4.13 (4.00-4.25)
UCD: 4.13 (4.00-4.26)
UCSC: 3.96 (3.76-4.16)
UCR: 3.90 (3.69-4.11)
UCM: 3.73 (3.45-4.00)

25th - 75th percentiles for ACT composite + language arts
UCB: 28-35
UCLA: 29-35
UCSD: 26-34
UCSB: 26-34
UCD: 24-33
UCI: 24-34
UCSC: 24-32
UCR: 21-30
UCM: 18-26

Best of luck and you have some good Match options.

UCs, your best shot is UCSC and UCM, (and UCR which you didn’t apply to) the others, probably not

CalPoly Slo - probably not
Pomona, - very likely
SDSU, very likely
CSU Long Beach very likely

good luck
