Alright so i tried really hard in high school but what can i say? Made some bad decisions when it came to picking classes (one hardass classes with one dick teacher who pretty much messed up my whole life and gpa) COUGH COUGH.

Anyways i was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction as to where i stand right now.

MY UCGPA: 3.7 ish
SAT: 2100
SAT2's: high 600's
Ec's: Pretty good, well rounded slightly average or above average range.
Volunteering: Enough

Applied for an impacted major. Got rejected at UCLA already =(.
Accepted at Riverside.
Live in Socal if it matters.

And i have a great internship last summer, like this awesome futuristic stuff. Its computer related but it was research and practical at a company.

In the next three weeks where do you think i should hope to get?

Im hoping for the best of course but you never know.

So my top is

UCSD
UCD
UCI
UCSB
UCSC

in that order.

Thanks.

EDIT:

If i may say so i took classes COMPLETELY related to my major and many were VERY tough. Calc both years of course both AP's. one science ap (super hard class), apcs, and another AP in a history course, took a couple of honors courses too. so thats about 7 AP's/ Honors

um, i think UCSC, UCSB, UCI, and UCD are all well within your range; you should get into all of those or at least 3. SB, I, and D, are all like on the same level, with SC being a notch lower i think.

UCSD is a little harder to get into than those, but i think you have a solid shot at SD too. maybe 50/50?

Go to the link below, answer some questions, and then enter up to 3 “mean characteristics” at a time (GPA, overall SAT score, etc.), to see what the admit percentages are at the various UC’s with similar stats/profile as you:

your sat is great, above average for every single campus in the uc system. your gpa is about average for the middle tier ucs like davis, santa barbara, and irvine, so i think that you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting into those.
ucsd will be a bit of a reach for you, but you never know, you might just get in!
in order to make a fairer judgement, i think you should go more in depth with your ecs. do you have any leadership roles? how many hours of community service do you have?
and more importantly, how good are your essays? do you think they set you apart from other applicants?
good luck!

I don’t know much about the UC schools’ standards other than Berkeley, but it seems like you have a good chance of getting into all of these schools.

UCSD - high match (GPA is a little low… from what I heard, UCLA really stressed the importance of GPA. it might be the same for SD? im not sure)
UCD - match
UCI - match
UCSB - match
UCSC - safety

I’d say UCSD is the only school you should worry about. But overall, I think your stats are pretty good so I think you should get in. & thanks for chancing me earlier.

my extracurriculars are as i said decent: i did martial arts for almost 8 years.
a couple school sports for a year at school
played an instrument all 4 years but i wasnt in band
about 100+ volunteering hours i think like 150 or something i forgot already
no leadership positions (sadly)
my first essay was about how moving to this country played such a big role in my decisions and about the opportunities here, and the second essay was about poverty in countries and how it changed my life and outlook of things i also wrote about a little charity work i did.

im mostly scared about my gpa as the unweighted is quite low (3.0) but weighted is close to 3.6 or 3.7
