bump…

Really good. If you have taken Calc BC then you should consider these as your safeties.

@wcao9311 thanks. I’m so nervous about getting into either of these schools, and you definitely reassured me. I’m actually taking calc bc right now.

Calc Bc would be at the upper end of UMD according to my Calc BC teacher. But don’t get arrogant and blow it, you still have to be careful.

@wcao9311 trust me, i don’t think there is a way for me to get overconfident about getting into college. I’m literally having panic attacks. Also, I’ve had enough experience of high school to know that when I become even the slightest bit of overconfident, I fail. happens every time  it absolutely sucks

bump… sorry

bump… sorry

buuuummmmmppppp

sorryy… would like some more opinions. buummppp

UMBC should be your safety. Definitely look into the Honors Program at UMD. I think you should apply out-of-state and expand your options a little here. The only thing I would suggest is to add some color to your application. As bizarre as it may seem, there a lot of applicants whose extra-curriculars and “STEM” interests look exactly like yours. Write a good essay about something that your application does not cover.

Aren’t many of the STEM programs feeders for UMBC and UMD College Park? And ask the admission reps.

@OGPStudent‌ I’m actually applying to only 3 MD colleges out of the 7 which I’ve picked. and for my essay, I wrote about how dance impacted me, because I am who I am today because of dance. (ik it seems very vague). I chose the prompt about describing a place which was significant to me, and I chose my dance studio.

and @Hippobirdy, I’m pretty sure that the my magnet program is a feeder for both UMBC and UMD, but for some reason, I’m still extremely nervous about getting admitted into both colleges, but more-so UMBC.

@luvstotalk‌ your stats compare well. See here
