What are my chances at Univ of Toronto and Waterloo for CS and Software Engineering?
When do they announce the results?
Your GPA is slightly low for those programs. I’m not sure to what extent the universities take standardized test scores into account, but I’m pretty sure that they do, based on my DD16s results.
Waterloo should announce the week of May 6 for CS. Your chances will depend on your AIF. The overall admission rate is 5-10%.

U of T is late with their acceptances this year. Normally the vast majority of results would be out by now, but I hear that some are still trickling out. However, I’d say that if you are still waiting, it doesn’t look good.
Denials go out in June.

What kinds of extracurriculars are you involved in?
It is my son- he has involved in state/ country level robotics competitions. Not much into sports
How difficult it is to change the major into something like Mechatronics Or Software Engg in Waterloo? My son got Geomatics w/honors.
Very difficult to switch streams due to popularity and competitiveness. I understand that Geomatics is the default alternate offer. If he is not interested in Geomatics I would not accept hoping that he could switch. Has he heard from U of T?
