With the University of Delaware sending out their decisions soon, I'm getting very nervous. It is my first choice school, but it is also my only reach school. I planned my selections around my majors, fashion merchandising and design (i havent decided between the two but it will definitely be one of them), which isn't that common, so most of my schools I was relatively sure I would get into.

I have been accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, Philadelphia University Honors Program, Radford Honors Academy, and Drexel University. I am still waiting on Florida State but apparently that's very easy to get into and I really just applied as a backup's backup.

My grades and test scores are right on the borderline of their average statistics, but I have a lot of extracurriculars and there is a legitimate reason why my grades have dropped in my junior and senior years.

Work Experience
Food Sales Attendant at local summer concert venue 2006-present
Hostess at local restaurant summer of 2006
Model/Sales Associate at Hollister November 2007-January 2008 (had to stop working for my ankle surgery)
Sales Associate at *Delias Summer 2008

Special Circumstances
I badly sprained my ankle in early 2006 but it did not heal properly because I couldn't take 3 months off of dance. I suffered a minor sprain about once a month since then. My ankle worsened and eventually it was hard to walk so I had surgery in Feb. 2007. Because of painkillers and such, I missed 2 weeks of school. Unfortunately, that surgery didnt take so I had to have another in January of 2008, more invasive than the first. I missed 4 weeks of school for that. My grades dropped because I did badly on the tests on the material that I missed since I really can't learn as well copying down the notes than I can actually being in class. I also wasn't able to make up all of the work I missed in the alotted time given while also doing the current work.
