What are my chances at USC, Syracuse, Northwestern?

Graduating 2011 from HS
Hopefully major in Broadcast Journalism...at USC (first choice), Syracuse (second choice, applying early here, because USC doesn't do early), Northwestern (third choice)

Our school offers almost no advanced classes FYI, but it's the best school in the district, academics-wise.

Too bad I'm Asian. Harder for me to get into school everywhere. D:

I know I don’t have the most clubs or the most sports, but these activities above are what I fully enjoy doing. I realize I’m in a very competitive pool of applicants, due to my ethnicity and such, since Asians are for the most part a very competitive ethnic pool in college applications. Even my mom says I’m not going to get into USC at times but I have faith in myself. I’ve recently got out of a long battle with depression (6th grade - Jan. 2008 approx.) - I mutilated myself, tried to commit suicide twice, and did extra-curriculars my freshman year because my parents were pressuring me to. As scary as that sounds, I believe I can succeed and do my best.

oh wow, you messed up big time with a 4.0 GPA. (sarcasm) You have a million ECs and above average SATs.
stop that. It’s extremely obnoxious.

I can see USC taking you.

@eromano333 - I have every right to be “obnoxious” as you state - as an Asian, I will face serious competition in college applications, as the Asian quota is fast to fill up in any college. Per my knowledge, I am far below average in my ethnicity pool. Many Asian kids, amongst many other kids, take AP Calculus AB their sophomore year of high school.

And thanks for the 2 people who’ve chanced me so far! More will be appreciated. Bump.
