So thanks for all your help, i just want an idea atm.

It is very early since you are only a sophomore, but you are off to a great start. UT loves class rank and you can’t get any better than first in your class. The ACT isn’t too bad for a sophomore either. I had a 26 then, and when I retook it as a junior like 6 months later got a 31 without serious prep for it. I have confidence in you that you’ll top that since you are a hard working student. ECs are off to a great start too.

UT is a great school and you’ll be a great addition.

I have never heard of UT rejecting a valedictorian whether or not they are instate or out of state, and with the increasing likelihood that the top ten law will be modified this isn’t likely to change.

So keep those grades up and you’ll be fine.

^UT could definitely reject a valedictorian, but since you are 1/129 that should be fine. Your GPA looks fine. Keep it up and you should definitely get in :)

I say this because I know someone that was 1/45 OOS and got denied But you look like you should be in great shape! Good luck ;D

Thanks for eveyones comments. I also have to clarify that there is about 10 of use at rank one because we are in a small town and the “smarter” kids usually take the same classes but it should get narrower towards he end of junior year because that’s when we get our first AP class. I live in a small town which offers only two AP classes so will UT take this into consideration? Because obviously I have no shot at a gpa higher than 4.5 ish anyways. Anyways thanks for your time.

Oh and would my chances be better if I moved to tx? I might not be able to be top 10 percent because obviously I can’t catch up with the kids that have had honors and AP since freshman year. So what do you guys think?
