Hi, I was wondering if you guys could give me an idea of what my chances are of getting into the following colleges: (btw, I am an asian male and virginia citizen)
i know UVA is definitely a reach school, or maybe an out-of-reach school, but im applyin ED.

UVA
V-tech
William and Mary
James Madison
UMD
Georgia Tech

My SAT's are:
Math: 720
Verbal: 700
Writing: 690

GPA: 3.9 (pretty sure weighted)
Rank: 87/484

Don't have too much extracurriculars.. Math League, Ballroom Dancing, and Newspaper in senior year
Also play in a blues/jazz band and won several competitions, as well as violin in several orchestras.. don't know if that will help me

any help would be much appreciated! thanks!

oh, and I know this sounds really bad, but I don't know my score for the US History AP test. my address got changed so i never received it.. i believe i got at LEAST a 4, but what should i do? is there anyway I can receive a score immediately, and do i need to send UVA my scores? would this affect anything? also, do i need to send them SAT scores? im so clueless at this..

I'm calling it IN.

You're around the 75th percentile, SAT score-wise, and your GPA is near average... and you're in-state. UVa has a reputation among out-of-staters for being way easier to get into in-state.

Yes- you definitely need to send your scores ASAP. You might have to rush them in order to get them in before the Nov. 1st ED deadline. (Just my suggestion... it might already be too late to send them for ED, and I'd say you'd be alright regular D anyway... once again, just my take on it... haha... Don't blame me if it doesn't work out.)

Go to collegeboard.com and follow the directions to send the scores. You'll need to have your school counselor send your official transcript too.

Haha "Virginia citizen". Go back to the eighteenth century!

I think you're pretty much borderline. Solid essays and recs will ensure an admit though.

hey, thanks a lot... i got the sat scores sent online, not sure about ap's though..
any advice on which school of uva i should apply to? arts and sciences? engineering? architecture? i find engineering to be more practical, but my math and science record isnt so good.. i usually got b's and even c's sometimes (never tried too hard).. would applying to arts and sciences be a wiser choice and increase my chances?

hi, sorry but this is kind of URGENT.. im applying ED (DUE TOMORROW), and I'm still unsure which school of UVA is best, and I need to write an essay depending on which school I choose...SO

would i increase my chances of getting into arts and sciences rather than engineering, considering my math and science classes are average? (mostly B's)
THANKS
