What are my chances at Vanderbilt and Northwestern???

First generation, male, california, i go to one of the top public schools in the nation (very competitive). I want to major in pre-med/bio. Many people from my school have gotten in to both. Pls chance me!! Started off 1st sem of freshman years with 2 B's in honors classes, but picked it up.

Freshman GPA- 3.6/4.0

Sophomore GPA- 4.4/4.4
AP World- A/A
Hnrs Spanish 3- A/A
Hnrs Chem- A/A
Algebra 2- A/A
English- A/A

Junior GPA- 4.6/4.6
APUSH- A/A
AP Bio- A/A
AP Spanish- A/A
Trig/Pre-Calc- A/A
English- A/A

Senior Schedule
AP Gov/Econ
AP CHemistry
AP English Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Stats

32 on ACT

EC's
President of JSA (Largest club at school) 2 years member, 2 years president
Academic Decathlon 4.0 Team Captain all 4 years
Club Shalom Treasurer
Human Relations Council

What is your overall unweighted GPA?

Your ACT looks a bit on the low side and your extracurriculars seem about average. I’d say Northwestern will be a reach and Vanderbilt will be a low reach.

3.9333 all A’s except 2 B’s freshman year first semester only

If you apply ED to Northwestern, you have a good chance.

i think i’m going to apply to Vanderbilt ED. I’m going to their PAVE Pre-College program for 6 weeks. WHat do you think?

I think that program is a bit pricey. Not sure if it helps or hurts. But if you like Vanderbilt then it makes sense to apply ED.

thanks a million. do my EC’s really look that bad? I’m president of one of the biggest clubs: JSA. We do a lot and I’ve won best speaker awards. On top of that, I was elected as president. Then I have academic decathlon (4.0 team member and co-captain), Club Shalom Treasurer, and I did a lot of community service (200 hours) as a counselor for a day camp in the summer.
