What are my chances at?
-Purdue University
-Loyola University Chicago
-University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
-University of Michigan Ann Arbor
-University of Wisconsin - Madison
-Bradley University
-Indiana University - Bloomington

Thank you!

NHS isn’t that prestigious, lololol.

Maybe not as prestigious as I make it sound like, but it’s definitely important.

It’s definitely not important seeing as a bunch of people are in it all across the country…
100 people are in it from my school alone…

Not that important. Many schools choose not to have it. Class rank says it all. That said, yours is great! The question is, how can you be in the top 4% but have a 23 ACT?

Indiana and Illinois shouldn’t be a struggle. Wisconsin as well. You’ll definitely need a better act score for Michigan.

I’ve never been great at standardized tests. I’ve usually always scored above average on those types of tests. I work hard at school and study what I need to know. I try to do my best in all of my classes. Part of the reason why my ACT score is low is because I’m not a genius, though I am smart. I don’t exactly score well when working with a time limit either, or under pressure, so that could be a minimal factor.

I guess I’m just an overachiever? That’s what I usually get from friends. But I know I’m at least smart.

But I think with focus and the ACT prep course I will be taking, I shouldn’t have a problem raising it to at least a 25. I know I won’t get in the 30’s, but I hope for a 27 the next time I take it.

I like Illinois and Wisconsin a lot, so that’s a good thing. How about Purdue? Purdue is the one I want to go to most.

I’m not too familiar with purdue, but I don’t think it’ll be too difficult to get into. Your profile is really good, so I’m sure you’ll be okay. With standardized tests I’m the same way. Just keep at it again. You’ll see great results.

Thanks! That brings my hopes up a lot. Haha

I would say that you are a very high reach, almost no chance, at any of the following schools with a 23 ACT. You would problably need to add 4-5 points just to be a hopeful and 6-8 to be a match.

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
-University of Michigan Ann Arbor
-University of Wisconsin - Madison

I agree with you. Those 3 schools are a high reach. But I think my BEST chances are Bradley, Loyola, and Indiana.

But like someone said before, I think I have a good chance at Purdue also. I’m not 100% sure of course.
