I also have 2 or 3 extra curriculars (tennis, band, jazz band, robotics) a year and 200 hrs community service at a hospital. i also am an all suburban level musician (sax)

what are my chances at:
Cornell University

emory
georgetown
michigan
usc
wisconsin
illinois
u of rochester
u of washington
pomona
cmc
colgate
carleton
etc. etc.

I know its a long list so even if you could give me predictions at a couple it would be greatly appreciated. i have no clue as to the caliber of colleges i should be applying to.

how did you make your list? your schools seem to be all over the map: big city vs middle of nowhere; tiny vs gigantic; politically liberal vs politically conservative; huge sports scene vs minimal sports; big science emphasis vs strength in humanities; etc etc

You are ok academically (have you taken sat IIs yet?) though a bit weak on the ECs (unless you've won numerous of awards on them or have been at least regionally recognized). Make sure to perfect your essays and choose wisely for your teacher recs. I'm not familiar with many of the schools on the list so I can't really gauge your chances. Sorry! However, I wish you the best of luck!

Don't wish to do tough love , but to be realistic, I think chances at the following schools are not good: Cornell, WashU, Brown, Northwestern, JHU, Rice, Georgetown, Pomona, Michigan. Pretty iffy at Colgate, cmc.

are all HIGH REACHES OR REACHES unless you have legacy or are an URM.
