What are my chances: BC vs. BU

Hey all, I’m currently a Freshman student studying political science at Norwich University (a private military academy in Vermont) looking to transfer to either Boston College or Boston University for Fall Semester 2017 (BC being the first choice).

-My high school GPA isn’t that great- 2.7 UW and 2.9 W. My parents got a divorce my sophomore year and combined with taking all honors/ AP classes my grades took a dive. I recovered my Junior/ Senior year with all A- / B+ and also graduated through my high schools nursing program with a CNA License.

-I now attend a military academy in Vermont where I will be getting a GPA of 3.8 or higher for my first semester (16 credits), as well as being involved with Model UN, Political Science Club, our school’s Christian Fellowship, and on the Rugby Team. I am also in the honors program and being a military academy, I am a cadet here and follow a Corps lifestyle similar to West Point or any Service Academy.

-I am also an Eagle Scout, I interned for a presidential campaign this past summer, I was a national elected youth officer, was the president of my schools technical competition club, and won a state/ national high school public speaking competition my Junior year.

I understand my GPA was terrible in high school, but compared to my college record, improvements in my Junior/ Senior year, and extracurriculars/ achievements/ awards, do you think I have a shot at either of these schools? I think the biggest asset on my side is being able to keep up with the fast paced schedule as a military cadet alongside a high 16 credit college GPA.

I can provide more information if needed. Thanks!
