I’ve applied directly to Computer Science (CLA).
GPA - 3.37
ACT - 27
Rank- Top 35%

In my application, I’ve explained why my GPA is on the lower side of the typical admitted student.
I also have a passion for programming and have explained my experiences in that, including my time in robotics and the creation of my iOS application.

I’m quite worried because of my GPA though. What do you guys think about my chances?

To add to this, I’m also a first generation college student.

I think your chances are similar to my daughter’s. D2 is top third of class, and a 1260/1960 SAT (so like a 28/29 ACT) but no hook. She applied to CLA.

Your ACT is right at the median so that should be OK and the 1st gen. status is probably going to help as will your essay.
