Hi, i'm an international students, wanna major in creative writing in Columbia (first choice), Emory or stanford or Harvard??? or other similar colleges.

My SAT scores are:

700 - Math
650 - Reading
680 - Writing

Literature - 700
French - 650

I've sat for cambridge's AICE exams too. My scores are:

Math AS Level - A
Art AS Level - A
Spanish A LEVEL - A
English Language - A
French AS level - B

My GPA is 3.5

But my strong suit aren't the exams.
I'm 18 and I have published 2 novels - (65000 words long and 140000 words long)
I've been invited to lecture in Buenos Aires Book Fair (i'm argentinean), Cordoba's Book Fair and I have given several TV, radio, magazine and newspaper interviews.

What do you think? Do I have a shot at Columbia?

Even though your book-publishing is impressive, your GPA and SAT are unfortunately too low for Columbia, Stanford, or Harvard; in my opinion, at least, they’re out of reach for you.

Emory is a bit more realistic, but still a reach for you.

thanks for the answer! My GPA, there is nothing I could do about it but im planning on retaking the SATs… what score should I get for Columbia (Harvard I see as a dream possibility, quite impossible to achieve)

And also I would like to know which other colleges are recomended for a major in creative writing? I need them to be able to give me need based financial aid.

although I am not an expert or too knowledgeable on college admissions, I have heard that Columbia is obsessed with things outside the classroom so maybe those novels will help. Worth the $80 and an application in my opinion.

Sadly, not many for an international. Some are giving aid to some international, and some are need aware (it will affect your chances of admission). I would look for some Liberal Art Colleges, they often provide more aid for international and, well, they seem to be quite good for liberal arts.
