What are my chances? Duke University...

I'm a sophomore in high school at the moment, so I do know it is about a year away now until I need to get extrememly serious, but here's what I've got so far & I wanted to know if it looks good enough to be considered:
-Member of National Art Honor Society, most likely will be voted VP or Treasurer next year
-Member of Spanish Club

Freshman Year GPA-4.25
Sophomore year GPA-4.75 (Unless I horribly mess up in a class this sem)
All my core classes & my art classes are honors

Will be taking: AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, Honors Physics, AP Physics, AP US History, Honors Socialogy, AP European History, Honors English 3, Honors English 4, AP Statistics, Honors Spanish 3, Honors Spanish 4, AP Spanish 5, AP Chemistry, AP Enviromental Science, & I will have dual enrollment at NC State so I can take Calculus 3 there, & it will be on my transcripit for college.

I took a practice SAT on collegeboard & got a 1900 (I know, not great.) but I graded my essay low in case they grade them very strict & I tried to answer every question to see the difference in results.

Also, I'm going to be a volunteer at Duke Primate Center this summer & I've worked for Duke alumni who will give me recommendations (I worked as a system test associate, AKA "computer stuff") & I'm going to volunteer at either a Food Bank or for the Red Cross, I have to think harder on that.

So what are my chances? Please don't "fluff" it if I don't have any chance, or give me suggestions if I'm on-the-edge.

-Thank you! Sorry about the extremely long post.

Your ECs could be a little bit stronger.
Your SAT score will likely improve substantially by your senior year.
If you keep working hard I think you have a good chance of getting in.

If you get that SAT up to a competitive level (which you probably will), you'd stand a very good chance indeed. It's much easier coming from in-state, so you have a fair shot. Get involved in one or two more ec's, and you should really try to snag a leadership position if you can. I'd try to find one activity that you can put a lot of effort into and make it the focus of your application.

Congrats on the volunteer job at the PC; I'm jealous. :)

You're taking AP Calc AB and BC? Why not just take BC? I was under the impression that BC covered AB curriculum, and then some?

I could be wrong, but if I'm not, why not take something a little more constructive?

Oh, wait, I didn't realize you're still a sophomore...

Anyway, the point still stands... Why not just take BC, and use the block for something else? Same goes for the Honors Physics and AP Physics. I always personally thought that class diversity was important.

My school requires you take the AB & BC Calculus classes on an A/B day schedule, I know it's not great... but neither is our administration.

Same goes for Honors & AP Physics, must pass Honors before you are allowed to take AP. I'm going to see if I can talk to somebody & have the rules slide for me ;)
