Hi,
Here’s my honest opinion (Remember, I am not an admissions officer. All I am doing is comparing you to several people I know who have gotten into Brown and sharing my opinion. This is NOT meant to hurt your self esteem at all)

That being said:

  1. Academics: Your academics are a bit lacking. Your unweighted GPA is low for Brown so I hope you’re at least in the top 10% of your school! Your ACT is also low. Additionally, your junior year course load seems particularly light. Hopefully, there was an extenuating circumstance for this or your school didn’t offer those high-level courses.

  2. Extracurricular Activities: I hate to break it to you but your extracurricular activities are pretty unimpressive and average. While I’m sure they meant a lot to you, they simply just aren’t all that rare and impressive by Brown standards. You could have potentially justified this if you’re low income and didn’t have the chance to do more impressive things. By impressive extracurricular activities, some Brown applicants have done phenomenal research, created amazing businesses, and have interned at places like the UN or for internationally recognized non-profits. Again, other applicants can still justify not doing these things if they had extenuating circumstances. Hopefully, you’ve made a MASSIVE impact in what you have participated in.

In my honest judgement since you asked for it and don’t take it to heart, you are a solid applicant at many schools but simply average- mediocre at Brown. Now, I’m sure you’re still an amazing person and have some great schools that will accept you! Additionally, essays can make a HUGE difference so let’s hope you wrote those well. Furthermore, as I’ve stated earlier, I’m not an admissions officer. All I did is compare you to people I know who have gotten in/rejected and to what people I’ve met in admissions say. So don’t take this as saying you won’t get in. You still may! I also doubt you will be rejected in the early round. Worst case, you will be deferred.
