Dream college right there! Hopefully I see you there (albeit a year late). If your school doesn’t rank don’t even mention that you’re top 15%, you’ll just look like you’re speculating. Nice standardized test scores and languages (emphasize those if you do truly know them fluently). How do you know your ending junior GPA if you’re still a junior? Either way extra curriculars are impressive however Ivy Leagues place a huge emphasis on leadership positions in clubs, could you possibly strive for “President” of mock trial or MUN? Your GPA is an A- average, which isn’t what UPenn is looking for, really…however, I think if you’re set on Ivy you could throw your name into Cornell or Brown. But don’t get too wrapped up in UPenn, in all honesty it’s a reach. However there IS a chance! I hope you make it!
I see that only the gpa is the downside in your app. everything else is fine. im kind of in the same situation as you (low gpa and high SAT) so i really hope and do believe that you can get in, since you are doing ED. but you know, its UPenn. who knows what they are thinking
With the elite school that UPenn is, I can say that it’s one of the hardest schools in the world to get into. You’re out of state, which makes it harder to get in, and the acceptance rate at Penn is one the higher ones for an Ivy, but still pretty low at 10%. You’ll definitely get deferred at least, and your GPA is solid, but not great. It’ll definitely be pretty good being an A- average after a semester of senior year. Your other stats are all excellent, especially that SAT score. I would say to go for a top public state university, like U of Michigan, U of Washington, U of Virginia, UC Berkeley (in-state for you I think), and it also depends on what you’re studying.
