recalculated GPA? did you figure that out? people will need that to really comment
Helps to make an assessment with the recalculated GPA but I’m going to say you are on the bubble
@2024Burner I agree with @GatorDad305 that you are on the bubble. You are in the 12-13% of your class and SAT is at the midpoint of last year’s accepted class. UF looks highly at GPA and class rigor. You have strong rigor, in my opinion, but it looks like you had a lot of Bs and maybe a couple lower? UF likes students that have proven their ability to succeed (mostly As) in the college level classes. It is lower risk for them to accept someone with almost all As and a lower SAT, than an higher SAT with less success in the classroom.
Perhaps you had some extenuating circumstances, or your grade trend over the three years shows good improvement. That will also likely be considered by UF admissions.
Do 100 people from your high school normally get into UF? It could be helpful to see how students with similar stats in your high school fared with UF admissions the last couple of years…
My grade trend over the last 3 years shows drastic improvement and I drew attention to that in my essay. My high school has around a 40 to 50 percent acceptance rate to UF.
That GPA trend will probably help you. The 40-50% acceptance does not really mean much without the context of how many apply. If it is just the top 20% that applies, that is much different scenario than if the top 40% applies. In the first scenario, you are are not in a good situation, but if it is the latter one, you are sitting pretty well at 12-13% class rank.
