What are my chances for and UC's especially UC-I

Well, I've always had a desire to attend UC- Irvine and it would be a dream come true if I could get in, and UCSD is just another reach school. Here are my stats and resume..

It may seem uncanny to all that my GPA is fairly high and my SAT's are fairly low, but I just dont do well on Standardized testing.. I dont know, maybe anxiety, anyways... Thank you all for your consideration on this matter.

you are tooo good a student with far too much going for you to NOT retake the SAT's...my scores are similar to yours, my counseler told me to take the ACT. I picked up a packet, did the English section, and my raw score was a 31. I missed less than 10 in 75 questions...whereas with the SAT, I would have gotten at least 35-40% wrong

my point is DO THE FREAKING ACT

do well [30ish and above] and you WILL get into ucsd, making your chances at UCLA and Berk. MUCH MUCH MUCH higher

3.8 UW is a kickass gpa for UC's

actually its a kickass gpa in general

the least you can do is PICK UP an ACT booklet...go to your career center or couns. or whatever

just do it

you won't regret it

Sadly, my time is up... and I've already applied to the UC's :( well, I should have taken the ACT a while ago... Damn...

oh you have....

a problem

I'm sorry...you still have a chance

but those SAT scores are going to hurt you

if you really want UCI go for it, you should get in there

i would recommend transferring into LA and BU after two years if you really want to go in...but hell, what do I know?

hmm...retake the SAT and send an explanation letter and write another essay? does that work? i could work at a private...

contact them I've heard of many "special cases" and things turn around

but you SHOULD get in at UCI

i would be very surprised if you didn't get in

i mean yeah SAT's weren't great

but great EC's and GPA

so i dunno

maybe UCSD? 25% chance...or more considering you are a good student

good luck with everything!
