I think my overall UC GPA is like 4.17??
SAT: 2150 (CR 700 M 700 W 750)
ACT: TAKING NEXT YEAR
SAT II: 750 CHINESE 700 MATH II (taking lit next year)
I don’t feel like typing out my ECs, but I have multiple officer positions in clubs, a part time job as a writing coach, and I volunteer A. LOT (with positions within volunteering)
Yeah I’m not outstanding or anything, but I’m really passionate about what I do! LOL thanks for all your feedback
Oops I forgot my senior year schedule: AP CALC BC AP LIT AP GOV/ECON AP ENVIRO JOURNALISM ASB/LEADERSHIP
I used the Roger Hub UC Calculator and got a 3.91 UC GPA. Your A’s in sports do not count and neither do your Freshman grades. Your SAT score is competitive. I am assuming you are a Chinese and native speaker? If so, your SAT II will not be much help.
UCLA/UCB would be Low Reach/Reach due to GPA.
UCSD would be a High Match/Low Reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB would probably be Match/High Match
Oh no I am not a native speaker! Everything I learned was from school, and my parents are pretty whitewashed as they do not speak chinese with me a lot. I still enjoy learning it and I hope to be bilingual!
I think I also forgot to add that I took world history over the summer at school and received an A, and as well as for beginning speech
Well then, that score is really great. UC’s are very GPA focused, since your UC GPA is a bit low, really work on your essays. Since UCLA/UCB tend to be more holistic in admissions, an outstanding essay can make a Reach a good possibility. Good Luck and get a great score on the ACT.
