What are my chances for Boston College?

<p>Hey, everyone. I am a 17 year old high school senior in Michigan. I am planning to major in International affairs.</p>

<p>GPA:
3.5 weighted</p>

<p>ACT:
34</p>

<p>CLASSES:
Honors Language arts Freshman and Sophomore year
Honors Biology Freshman Year
Honors Chemistry Sophomore Year
Regular Math courses
3 years of French Class</p>

<p>Advanced Placement:
AP United States History (4 on exam)
AP English Language & Composition (3 on exam)
AP Biology (Dropped out after first semester with a D)
AP English Literature & Composition (TBA)
AP US Government & Politics (TBA)</p>

<p>EXTRA--CURRICULARS:
3 years of French Club.
4 years of Key Club
Over 300 hours of community service at a hospital.
Volunteered in a law firm and have over 50 hours of observing criminal trials
Over 20 hours volunteering at the Arab-American National Museum
National Society of High School Scholars my junior and senior year
DECA (Marketing club) my senior year
3 years of Piano class
I am a very talented pianist. I have won a scholarship for my performances. I also play guitar and the drums.
I am fluent in Arabic and French
I don't know if this is important but I have won spelling bees and have gone to States (the competition before Nationals) when I was in middle school.</p>

<p>ESSAYS:
I am a great writer, and I am positive that I can impress with any essay that is handed to me in the application process. I have published works out there and since I was five my teachers have been impressed at my writing abilities.</p>

<p>PLEASE give me a hand and tell me the truth. I just want to know so I can stop fretting over this.</p>

<p>Is there anything I CAN do to up my chances?</p>

<p>Try to increase your GPA as much as possible. A weighted 3.5 isn’t all that great for BC.</p>

<p>if interested in Boston College might look at Holy Cross -great school 1 hour from Boston.</p>

<p>I agree with CaliCash about your GPA. your ACT score is a fit for BC but isn’t exceptional enough to make up for your GPA. EC’s look good so the only issue is your GPA. good luck! </p>
