I think you have an excellent chance at all except Dartmouth, Hopkins, G’town and Notre Dame. But you are in range at ND and Georgetown and coming from a Catholic school will help

@wisteria100 thank you so much!! Honestly, I know the ivies are a reach for everyone but I just kind of wanted to throw it out there to see. Do you think that there is any shot at ND or Georgetown? ND has been my dream school since forever and I would do anything to get in!! What do you think my realistic chances are for these schools?

bump

Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Hopkins, USC, and Notre Dame will be the toughest (obviously) so hard to say without knowing more

But I think you have the strong shot at the rest.

@blbk thank you so much. Do you think I have a chance at any of the ones you listed? I know my ACT falls in the 50% or higher all of the ones you listed except for ND (33-34)? If you wouldn’t mind helping me manage my expectations, is it worth it to apply? With my GPA, scores, and EC, am I a competitive candidate?

bump

Many kids with your credentials or stronger don’t get into the schools @blbk listed. So you are admit-able, but maybe not competitive. Definitely apply - but view those as reach schools. There are many good schools for which you have a higher chance of getting in, including the others you listed, at which you can have a great college experience.

anyone else??

My sister and you look exactly the same in most respects (FH captain and national travel team, SHS, 3.95 GPA, babysitter, 33 ACT, and 6 AP’s) She is also in student council (all 4 years and Prefect) and she started her own 501©3. She is applying to the same schools. It will be interesting to see what happens.

@wipack Very interesting!!! Definitely keep me updated on where she gets in. It will be interesting to compare.

Got into Tulane… Any ideas anyone?
