thanks a lot

You seem to be in OK shape, I am assuming you're a junior, so I'd work really hard to bring up the SATs. Engineering is pretty liberal with female acceptances, but they also want to make sure you're prepared. I would recommend taking some AP exams if you feel prepared, especially the science ones. Also, take Math Level II and after you take Physics I would take that SAT II. Maybe give the ACT a shot. You seem like you're on track.

i really don't know how much having legacy will help in your case. your GPA is way too high for those scores, and it'll basically show the adcoms what type of high school you attended. increase SAT by 300 points, increase/take more SAT IIs. good luck.

i think the legacy will help, though to be on the "safe" side try to get ur CR above 600 and ur math to near 700. Safe in quotes cuz u can never really be on the safe side.

I don't know if they're really all that liberal about female acceptances, but you never know. Your math needs to be around a 720 probably to be safe, since it's an engineering school. Although you have legacy, it can only do so much. Bring up the scores to a 2000 atleast to be competitive. Re-take the bio SAT2 also. [Wait, are you an URM? I would take that all back if you were.] If not, work harder on the standardized testing and possibly try to get some awards/leadership positions [you didn't list any, so I don't know if you have any]. That's all.

Good luck. :) I want to apply to CALS. Yay Cornell.

"increase SAT by 300 points"

Haha^^ I'd shoot for a 2100 if you want to be safe, that'd be like 200ish? Take Math IIC; not only does it make you look better, but while a little harder it has a pretty generous curve, while math IC has a weird one. As they've said above, retake bio and take physics too.

ok i got into cornell engineering. im a girl, legacy, 2180 sat, 720 bio 730 math 1. hope that helped
