What are my chances for CSU Long Beach, CSU Fullerton, San Diego State,

CSU/UC GPA: 3.73
SAT Score: 1210
In state resident (not local for any)

I intend to major in accounting for all of them

your chances are high for CSU long beach and CSU fullerton <3

How about SDSU??

These Cal states admit by major and eligibility index: (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + EBRW) so your EI is 4194. This EI should be competitive for CSUF, CSULB and SDSU. However, the EI’s continue to climb each year as the # of applicants continue to increase so it is no way a guarantee of admission.

Best of luck and hopefully you applied to at least one safety school.

Thank you gumbymom

i think you will get into all of them.

good luck

Unfortunately my grades fell down this semester because I finished off with a 3.0 unweighted gpa and a 3.5 UC/CSU weighted gpa for this year. My average unweighted gpa is a 3.53 and average CSU GPA is a 3.73. Before my grades fell down, I only took 1 AP and 2 honors classes for soph/junior year total. On the other hand I took 3 AP classes this year and it’s the most by far. I’m taking: AP Spanish, AP Calc AB, and AP enviromental science. Would this drop affect my chances overall? Thank you!

The UC’s except UCLA/UCB require a 3.0 weighted GPA and no D’s or F’s. UCLA/UCB have required an Unweighted GPA of 3.0, no more than 2 C’s and no D’s or F’s. Depending upon the CSU’s, as long as you receive a C or higher in your Senior year a-g courses, you will be fine.

I’m only applying to CSULA, CSUF, CSU Pomona, CSU Long Beach, and SDSU. Does that mean I have not much to worry about then…

As long as you get no D’s or F’s in your Senior classes, you are good.

Sorry for asking a lot of questions. THANK YOU VERY MUCH @Gumbymom

No problem in regards to the questions. Best of luck and enjoy your holidays.

I have one more question to ask. Can you help me find out the average EI of the CSU I mentioned besides sdsu for my major. Thank you!

None of the CSU’s you have applied will list their average EI’s except SJSU. Each major has an EI threshold and only SJSU publishes these threholds eack year. Any EI’s I have quoted have been historically collected by CC posters like me based on accepted decision threads where admitted posters have listed their stats. Not statistically accurate but gives everyone a ball park. Basically the higher the better. I was in contact with a counselor in regards to SDSU’s EI’s whom was also collecting the EI data for their school and students so they helped to confirm most of my data.
Most campuses will list the minimum EI’s needed for local vs non-local but not by major.

Is there a thread for admission results for CSULB and CSUF??

@Gumbymom ?

No threads for CSULB but 2 for CSU Fullerton.

Do we also get acceptances through mail?
