<p>-8th grader applying for 9th grade</p>
<p>-Asian(Korean)
-Live in Virginia</p>
<p>-All A's 6-7th grade
All A's the first quarter of 8th grade</p>
<p>-SSAT: 99% in reading, verbal, and math.</p>
<p>-I'm a competitive speed skater
-I want to try out for crew
-Involved in a choir, have performed in the Kennedy center
-I do peer tutoring for community service
-In our school quiz bowl team(One of the best middle school QB teams in the nation, competes at high school level)
-Mathcounts
-Got to AIME last year.
-Interview went really well in my opinion
-Essays are okay</p>
<p>-My only significant hook is that I'm good at math</p>
<p>-Not many leadership opportunities</p>
<p>-I'm close to my teachers, so I'm pretty sure I'll get good recs. </p>
<p>-SATs: 800 in math, 650 reading, 540 writing in 7th grade. </p>
<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>wow…your stats are almost the same as mine (same community service, quiz bowl, Mathcounts, SAME SAT SCORE O.O except my individual scores were a little more centered (congrats on the 800!) etc.) , except you seem smarter XD. I have a feeling there are a lot of people like us, so I guess it all comes down to the subjective stuff (essays and interviews). </p>
<p>I think you have a slightly better chance than me, and I think that I have at least a chance. So…good luck.</p>

SSAT: 92%</p>
<p>EC’s:
-Debate: I have won two tournaments. Nationally ranked=5th.
-Community Service: Made my own club (president). played music for 150+ senior citizens. president’s honor’s club
- All-District Orchestra
-Student gov.'t secretary
- Interview’s very soon
-Essay’s are eh… okay.
-run XC. I’m not too good though.
- I am in the best German program in the US. take German 3 Advanced as Freshman.</p>
